Committee of Management

Tillerkite Pre-School is a not-for-profit community kindergarten that is managed by a dedicated group of parent volunteers. Our committee is responsible for the efficient operations of the kinder, supporting the staff and making sure we meet the needs of the families in our community.

Some of the tasks we are involved in are:

Joining the committee is a wonderful way to meet new people, work as part of a team and develop new skills. It allows you to have direct input in decision making and to make a valuable and lasting contribution to the community.

General meetings are held once a month and are open to all family members, not just those on the committee. A summary of the meeting minutes is posted on the notice board to keep everyone updated with current kinder news. Important news will be sent out in newsletters, on social media, kinder app and can be found on the website.

The committee is elected by the parents at the Annual General Meeting which is held in November of each year.

It is a legal requirement that a full committee be in attendance for the kindergarten to operate. If you are interested in becoming a member of our committee, then please see the outline of the positions available.
